Sanford Montalto, D.D.S.
Dr. Sanford Montalto has been practicing for over 30 years with Dental Associates. In addition, he is a dental consultant for the Arleigh Burke Nursing home and works with Northern Virginia Family Services as well as being a member of the American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Society, and the Northern Virginia Dental Society.
A native of East Islip, New Yorki, Dr. Montalto received his BS in Biology in 1972 at the State University of New York at Brockport. He went to dental school at the Georgetown University School of Dentistry and graduated in 1976. He continued to teach at Georgetown for ten years. Dr. Montalto also has special training as an EMT, a CPR Instructor and a Senior National Ski Patrol.
Dr. Montalto and his wife, Rebecca, have two sons. Joey is in Christopher Newport University while Tony attends NCV medical school. During his free time, Dr. Montalto enjoys many hobbies and interests including woodworking, stamp collecting, working with stained glass and fishing. He used to be an open racquetball player and has played in many tournaments. He also belongs to the Harley Owner’s Group and the Corvette Club. Dr. Montalto played several sports in high school and played football while in college. He now shares his experience with his students of sport, as a coach for BRYC football and little league baseball.
“I have practiced dentistry of all phases for over 30 years. I had major back surgery but continue to practice by consulting, introducing my long-standing and referred patients to my partners and associates. Although I used to practice in the Skyline, Alexandria and Tysons offices, I am currently in the Fairfax office.”
